Norwegians abroad raised money for wedding gifts for the crown prince couple. We can picture the gift table abound with gifts of various kinds, in many cases characteristic of the countries they were sent from. Among other things, the newly married couple received a lion skin, a cigarette box and a cigar box decorated with gold and diamonds from Norwegians in South-Africa, while countrymen in China sent four five-branched candelabra.
