You may write to the National Archives or to the relevant regional state archive to request information from their files. All inquiries are answered.

Copying Services

The National Archives and the regional state archives can provide copies of archival material to a reasonable extent. Requests for copies of restricted material are subject to special consideration.

Transcriptions

We provide transcriptions of documents in difficult handwriting when necessary to document rights to property, etc. Transcriptions are certified.
